…I’m different, yeah I’m different. Pull up to the scene with my ceiling missing. Middle finger up to my competition…-2 CHAINZ

I’m different, yeah I’m different. Different title tag that is! In the newest SEO article by one of the most talented SEO Evangelists, Danny Sullivan, he explains that not every Google organic listing consists of the same convention. The article entitled “When Google Gets It Wrong By Changing The Titles Of Web Pages” explains that in some cases Google makes mistakes too.

Danny Sullivan goes on to say that sometimes (although the title tag has been optimized) Google will create its own title tag. This causes a problem to all SEO managers out there because they are spending all their time optimizing title tags for seemingly no good reason.

This is definitely a frustration of mine since I’ve noticed the same thing has happened to a site that I have recently optimized. Over a month ago, I optimized all meta data for a site that I SEO for and the title tag is different than the one on the site. At first, I thought the site had not been indexed, but with further investigation I noticed this was the case.

Anywho, just wanted to bring this to one’s attention

Web 3.0 and Unique Content

I read this article on Web 3.0 and unique content.

The article is written by Eric Enge. I loved it because it was concise and short.

In summary and due to the panda update:

Unique content is still very valuable, but now search engines are reading SEO content as humans would. Repeating the word over over no longer works for the search engines either. Write unique content that makes sense to the reader and ultimately the search engines.

Web 3.0

A few months ago I wrote an article regarding Web 2.0 and Web 3.0.

Read this article about Web 3.0 and Web 2.0 that lives in the Ionic Media site.

Web 2.0 101, and the 411 on Web 3.0
January 5th, 2011 by Nancy Martinez

Seo has been around for years and years. There are a number of elements that help an SEO campaign become successful, but for the most part it consists of 3 main factors: meta data optimization, content and link building.
Over the years, link building has evolved from emailing industry peers, to link exchange programs and finally blog commenting. Along with the new millennium came a new era of link building – enter “Web 2.0”.

What exactly is Web 2.0?
Wiktionary defines “Web 2.0” as The second generation of the World Wide Web, especially the movement away from static webpages to dynamic and shareable content and social networking. It basically uses social sites, wikis, podcasts and community sites as marketing tools.
Some Web 2.0 and Seo techniques include:
Social Interaction
Video optimization
Image optimization
Social optimization
Social Bookmarking sites
Social Media Marketing
Get Ready For A New Digital Era: Web 3.0
Web 3.0, sometimes called Semantic Web, is basically when machines can read web pages the way humans do – natural language processing. Search engines will be able to analyze all of the data on the web with Web3.0 resources. Although Web 3.0 is still in its infancy, one thing is certain – it is more efficient for the user as semantic web is designed to accommodate humans first and machines second. The semantic environment understands the meaning of the content being discussed without having to repeat a certain keyword over and over again. Web 3.0 can recognize people, places, events, products, companies etc by finding the relationship and the correlation between them. It has other types of applications and solutions for faster and “real time” usage and convenience. The applications will essentially be smaller; and they will be able to run in any device, PC’s and Mobile. Web 3.0 applications will also be fast and customizable, and more user friendly than Web 1.0 and Web 2.0.
Web 3.0 Includes:
Mobile marketing
GPS
Four Square
Real Time Reviews
Twitter
“On The Go” everything – Ipods, IPhone, Ipads, even Food trucks thanks to twitter
How Web 2.0 and Social Media Marketing Beneficial for SEO?
SEO will always need link building, content and link popularity for ranking, visibility and traffic. SEOs are always looking for new tools and solutions on how to go about getting the newest and best links. Social Media also helps businesses connect with consumers and clients and learn what the consumer demand is.
Social Media helps SEO with:
Link Building
Content
Visibility
Conversions
Website Authority
Another way Social Media helps SEO is by identifying and getting to know your client or customer. Once you know what the consumer demand is you can optimize according to what people are interested in resulting in targeted traffic and ultimately more conversions and sales.

How Social Media Works for SEO:
Social Media is the new link building
Sites like Twitter can be useful because these are large, authoritative and widely used
Share articles for syndication as well as engagement. Sharing articles is equivalent to a adding your sites to directories sort of speak.
The more an article is shared and viewed the more authority the search engines will give it as the more relevant that link is.
Google will take authority profiles and figure out how important those profiles are and pass that “link juice” to the website it is pointing to.
Surrounding content will help with visibility and long term Serp placement. The messages that go out with a certain link can be helpful and at times take the place “anchor text”
Social Media can also help with visibility. Once someone starts to blog about your business or product and other users, followers and friends retweet it, share or like it and it becomes viral
These Retweeted articles will help drive a websites up in the Serps (much like links and articles do)
They will help drive traffic to your site
Will show how many people are sharing and reading an article. The more an article is shared and read, the more Google will give it authority.
Optimizing videos and social media accounts will help get business visibility as well as get links
Real Time search optimization and visibility
Google and BING will eventually start to index results that come directly from people and their opinions from their social networking sites.
Because people have heard your name and are directed to your site, they will most likely buy from you because they trust you, your site and its authority.
This will help with conversions and sales
Finding demographic by engaging through social media and optimize for a more targeted audience resulting in conversions and sales
Search engines pick up on social media sites and figure out if they are relevant and this will help organic listings by helping you site become and authority site and giving your site relevance.
Humans on the web represent authority
Just like link building, Google looks for authority in sites and profiles. With link building, Google looks for authority sites pointing to a given website and figures out the value of the site. Google is now using this same concept when it comes to social media.

You meet a thousand people, then you meet that one person and your life is changed – love and other drugs

I went to go see love and other drugs and really liked it. I guess love can be like a drug. The feeling of being in love is sometimes euphoric. Maybe this is why people are afraid to be committed and in love. This seemed to be the case for Chloe and Jamie in Love and Other drugs. They were both so scared of needing each other and falling in love that the word itself gave them anxiety.

I liked this film. I really did. But it’s not original. Comparable to 1995’s “Mad Love” and 2002’s “Crazy/ Beautiful”; it has basically the same plot: Wildchild tames the one that cant be tamed, he falls in love with her, he recognizes she’s got an illness and recuse her from herself.

I still like it though. Worth watching.

There’s times when this dress rehearsal Seems incomplete…I’m really lucky. Underneath it all . You’re really lovely . And when it’s really bad …I guess it’s not that bad – NO DOUBT

I read an article today about being grateful. The grateful article said that people Adults who frequently feel grateful have more energy, more optimism, more social connections and more happiness than those who do not … I think it’s funny because I try to think positively most of the time. As of the past 2 -3 months I’ve been on a negative downward spiral. That’s usually not like me, as I usually try to look at the positive sire of things. I liked this article. Although I may look at the bright side of things, I don’t think I do it enough. I complain family, friends, work, this and that…

Complaining, in a way is almost like being ungrateful. I have to remind myself that life isnt perfect. For example, if I complain about my job or look at the negative side of it – it’s only going to make things worse. I have been accepting things lately. If I really think about it, I have a good job, health, family and friends.

No one is perfect. Nothing is perfect. You cant have it all at the same time at all times. Sometimes you will, but most of the time you wont. I’m grateful for being healthy, for my family and friends, my job… When I put things into perspective, I really am lucky underneath it all

Every time I hear your name, it bears an uncanny resemblance to defeat. – OSKER

Ask.com goes out of business. 😦 I liked ask, it was more attractive than Google. Not as functional, but more attractive. Bye bye Ask.com. Read more about Ask.com’s defeat.

Bye bye ask.com

Right now I don’t even want to be the best. I just want to be one of them.” – Tupac

I really love Tupac. I always have. I respect him. I think he is very honest and transparent when he speaks. I think was a poet, an actor, a legend, and most importantly a human. A few months ago I heard a person say “Tupac was a criminal, thats why he got shot.” I’ve known people that were not criminals and got shot, and there is crime every day. In my opinion, Tupac was artist before a criminal and an everyday joe. He was a tortured soul, a product of his environment. The unfortunate things he has and had to deal with made him who he was.

I really liked hearing Tupac speak. He was so honest and articulate. He was opinionated, never scared to say what he was thinking. Things that stood out in this interview were:

1. He looks at the positive and negative traits in human beings. 50 seconds into the video he goes into seeing different sides of police officers. This is cool because he doesnt have a jaded perspective and view of law enforcement. Some people might be bitter and see only negative. I like the fact that he sees both the good and the bad.

2. I like the way he thinks everyone shines in their own way. He is confident about his acting skills but admits he can’s play basketball. This is a very humble statement, a humble Tupac. I like candid interviews like these – interviews where he shows his vulnerability as a human. I’m used to seeing the thug side of Tupac, but interviews like these reveal a much more level headed Tupac.

3. 2 minutes and and 4 seconds into the video he says the “reason I can go to jail and come out without a scratch…is because I can look directly into my face and find my soul”. This is interesting int 2 ways: 1. Because rumor had it that he basically sold his soul to Suge. 2. It goes back to some previous posts …Tony Alva talking about how great he is and my friend BK always reminding me “I know who I am, I know who I am NOT – I dont need people telling what I am or am not”. I like it because he knows how to be “neutral”. This tells me that he can be as tough as the people he was incarcerated with, but comes out without a scratch because he knows himself. He doesnt have to prove anything to anyone. He knows he can be loud, but stay quiet. He knows how to be humble and bite his tongue when he needed to. = Strong personality. He is strong enough to know when to speak his mind, and knows himself well enough not to prove anything to anyone. Thats a really cool trait to have. Just being you – knowing yourself but not rubbing it in peoples faces. And not putting others down due to insecurity as many people often do.

4. He goes into wasted potential. I hate seeing wasted potential.

I feel like driving but the tides too low – the dirty heads

I really love this song. It’s so positive and upbeat. I picture someone going through something really deep and sad and a friend lifting this person up. The friend is telling the sad person that nothing is forever. Life gets better. This is my favorite song right now.

I love you so, but I still know it’s a crazy love – Paul Anka

I would really like to know how this love was crazy. Crazy how? Like good crazy or bad crazy? Intense crazy? Unpredictable crazy? Off and on crazy? Throwing Stuff around crazy? Or crazy that it happened. Crazy that they met? Crazy how they met? I mean: crazy how?
